Joe Bourne is an accomplished artist and musician. Though widely recognized for his dynamic music career—having performed alongside legends like Natalie Cole, Ray Charles, and The Pointer Sisters—Joe has spent decades refining his visual artistry. Bourne’s encaustic paintings capture the forms and rhythms of vast skies, rugged mountains, and sweeping deserts, using a technique that blends heated beeswax with pigment to create layered, textured artwork. Joe will also share a short a cappella performance at this artist reception.
Lunch & Learn with Whitney Wilkening-Daube, founder and designer of Bling by Wilkening. Stop by over lunch to meet Whitney, explore her stunning estate fashion and semi-precious jewelry, and enjoy an exclusive "show and tell" featuring large loose faceted stones before they are set. She’ll also have her microscope on hand, giving you a rare, up-close look at the fine details that make each gemstone unique. The 2025 All-Artist Show at Madaras Gallery features a dynamic selection of work from the gallery’s roster of 26 talented artists. Showcasing a diverse range of mediums—from traditional oil paintings and bronze sculptures to innovative techniques like paint carving—this exhibition celebrates the essence of the Southwest through a variety of artistic perspectives. The featured artists include both established and emerging voices from Tucson and surrounding regions, including Santa Fe, California, and Texas.
Join us for a brunch-inspired “Art You Can Wear” Mother's Day event! This special gathering will highlight new items from the Madaras “Art You Can Wear” collection, including 100% silk scarves and vegan leather purses by Madaras.
Whitney Wilkening-Daube, founder and designer of Bling by Wilkening, will be present to share insights into her creative process and help you select the perfect piece from her estate fashion and semi-precious jewelry collection.
Also joining us are two resident jewelers showcasing their stunning handcrafted work: Studio Jere, known for exquisite crochet and beadwork, and master silversmith Val Smith.
